These terms govern your use of Broadside (the "Service"), operated by LeadsResponder LLC. By using the Service you agree to them. If you use the open-source software to host your own instance, these terms cover the hosted service we operate; your self-hosted instance is governed by the software's open-source license.
Broadside lets you compose content and publish or schedule it to third-party social platforms you connect. We act on your instructions to publish the content you provide.
You are responsible for the accounts you connect and the content you publish through the Service. You retain ownership of your content. You grant us the limited permission needed to store and transmit that content to the platforms you select, solely to provide the Service.
You agree not to use the Service to publish content that is unlawful, infringing, deceptive, or that violates the terms or policies of any connected platform. You must comply with the developer and content policies of YouTube, TikTok, Instagram/Meta, X, and any other platform you connect. You may not use the Service to send spam or automated content in violation of those platforms' rules.
The Service depends on third-party platform APIs. Those platforms may change, limit, or revoke access at any time, which can affect the Service. We are not responsible for platform outages, rejections, rate limits, account restrictions, or policy changes. Publishing is subject to each platform's approval and requirements.
We work to publish reliably and to report failures clearly, but the Service is provided "as is" without warranty of uninterrupted or error-free operation. You are responsible for verifying that important posts published successfully.
Broadside offers a free tier and monthly subscription plans (currently Creator at $9/month, Pro at $24/month, and Agency at $59/month). Each paid plan includes a monthly credit allowance granted at the start of each billing cycle — Creator includes 4,500 credits, Pro includes 12,800 credits, and Agency includes 32,500 credits. The free tier does not include credits; publishing on the free tier requires purchasing credits. Credits are consumed when you publish, at a per-platform rate that varies by platform (see 6.2). Unused credits remain available while your subscription is active; we may apply reasonable expiration or rollover limits, which will be shown in the Service.
Publishing spends credits per platform, and different platforms cost different amounts of credits, reflecting the differing cost and capacity of each platform's API to us. Publishing the same post to more platforms, or to more expensive platforms, spends more credits. The current per-platform credit cost is shown in the Service before you publish. We may adjust per-platform credit costs from time to time; material changes will be reflected in the Service.
Plans differ in how many workspaces (brands) you may create — currently one on the free and Creator tiers, three on Pro, and ten on Agency — and each workspace connects one account per platform. To keep the Service reliable for everyone, we may impose fair-use limits, including per-day publishing limits and other rate limits, and we may throttle, queue, or defer publishing to stay within the shared limits that third-party platforms impose on the Service. We may adjust these limits to protect the Service and its users.
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each monthly billing cycle unless you cancel before the renewal date. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your saved payment method at the then-current plan price on each renewal date. You will receive a receipt for each charge.
You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you retain access to the Service and your remaining credits until that date. We do not issue prorated refunds for partial months.
Subscription fees are generally non-refundable. If you believe a charge was made in error, contact us at support@broadside.social within 30 days and we will review the request. We reserve the right to issue refunds at our discretion on a case-by-case basis.
Additional credits can be purchased as one-time top-ups (currently $6 for 3,200 credits). Top-up credits are added to your account immediately and are consumed after your monthly plan credits. Top-up credits are non-refundable and are forfeited if your account is cancelled or your subscription lapses — they do not roll over as cash or transfer to a new subscription period.
You may enable auto-topup, which automatically purchases an additional 3,200-credit pack ($6) when your credit balance is too low to complete a publish. By enabling auto-topup, you authorize us to charge your saved payment method for each automatic top-up purchase, off-session, without additional confirmation. You may disable auto-topup at any time from your account settings; disabling it takes effect immediately for future top-ups.
We may change subscription prices or credit pack prices at any time. We will give you at least 30 days' notice of any price increase before it affects your subscription, either by email or via a notice in the Service. Continued use of the Service after a price change takes effect constitutes your acceptance of the new price.
You may stop using the Service and delete your data at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these terms or platform policies.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for lost content, missed posts, or lost revenue arising from use of the Service.
We may update these terms; material changes will be reflected by the "last updated" date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
